After R&W gives you a quote, there are a few steps that take place:

  1. Notify R&W to let us know you've chosen us for your paving needs. Soon, you will receive a driveway contract in the mail. If you have any questions upon receipt of this contract, please call one of our sales representatives, who will be happy to assist you.
  2. Once R&W adds you to the schedule for a new driveway, you can expect a confirmation phone call 3-5 days prior to your appointment. Please note that weather plays a major factor in scheduling.
  3. On the scheduled date, the dig crew will show up and dig, stone, or remove old asphalt, depending on what you've decided in the contract.
  4. After the stone is set, we will determine how long the driveway needs to settle before the blacktop is applied. Many factors, such as the type of stone laid, how much rain has fallen, and how much stone was set, will determine this. However, most will need to settle 2-3 weeks. You may also drive/park on the stone.
  5. A day or two before the application of asphalt, a prep crew will stop and re-grade the stone if necessary.
  6. Paving Day:
    1. A crew will show up to pave your driveway. R&W strongly recommends that you are home for this installation. We will be happy to answer any questions, change driveway angles, or otherwise suit your needs (within reason).
  7. Upon completion, you will receive a how-to guide for the care of your new driveway. You will also be expected to pay your bill at this time.
